Support a short row of books. Each bookend presents a broad softly crowned upright with a quiet hand-hammered face. A flat inward foot reaches beneath the books, while the outer shoulder turns back slightly for stiffness. Together the pair makes a weighty-looking frame without thin figures or ornamental cut-outs. Unevenly spaced shallow facets distinguish each face; the book-contact areas and inward feet remain smooth, straight and controlled rather than deliberately rough.
