Long Ash Boat
XV·HW·S009
Catch ash from a specified incense stick. A long shallow boat has a wide ash bed, a gently raised end and a permanently attached low holder pointing inward. The opposite end turns up just enough to retain debris. Its broad planished surface stays open for wiping, with no decorative perforations below the incense. Lengthwise hand-planishing traces remain in the dish; the ash bed is smooth enough to wipe, and the outer edge shows a controlled handmade waviness.
