A stepped steel back spine holds their protected seats at graduated levels, giving the composition a clear rise and pause. Generous metal bands and grounded supports keep the glass visibly captured rather than floating. Broad planishing traces remain on the base and stepped spine, while glass seats are smoothly dressed; actual tube thickness and imperfect workshop reflections preserve physical credibility.
