Paperweight for a desk. A low irregular oval brass weight has a gently domed top crossed by one broad flattened thumb saddle. Its edges swell softly into a flat underside, making the piece easy to lift without a knob. The solid form stays understated and tactile rather than decorative. Restrained casting grain remains around the low outer edge; the thumb saddle and domed top receive a soft brushed finish that reveals broad form changes.
