Spectacle Saddle
XV·HW·S042
Rest spectacles without loading the lenses. A low bent-steel support surrounds a broad wooden saddle with a shallow central bridge groove. The arms of the spectacles can rest on two softened steel returns, leaving the lenses clear. The compact form shows real metal thickness and hand-finished bends, with warm wood used only at the contact area. Subtle bending witnesses remain in the steel, with smooth hand-dressed contact areas; the shaped wood has visible grain and a restrained clear finish.
